Sodexho Health Care Services Names New Operations Senior Vice President for Greater Chicago Area & Beyond
Scott D. Skorik, a 20-year veteran of Sodexho Health Care Services, was recently named Senior Vice President for Operations in Sodexho’s North Central region. His area of responsibility encompasses the greater Chicago area as well as Illinois, Wisconsin, and the greater St. Louis Market place. Skorik’s career includes in-depth operations experience that has served his clients well. He began his career as a District Manager for the greater Chicago area for Marriott Management Systems (which merged with Sodexho in 2000). Following that, he was assigned to the Mayo Medical Center in Rochester, MN, one of Sodexho Marriott’s premier accounts to this day, where, as District Manager, he oversaw all food operations and managed more than 1500 staff members. He was next assigned to the Wheaton Franciscan System/Covenant Milwaukee, where he supervised operations for nine healthcare facilities in Wisconsin and Illinois including Food & Nutrition, Environmental Services and Plant Operation and Maintenance Services. A successful transition to Sales Director for the upper Midwest in 2001 led to Scott’s being named the 2003 Sales Director of the Year for the entire Sodexho Health Care Services division. Following that achievement, he was tapped to become the Sales Vice President for a 12-state area, where, until recently, he led an eight-person sales team working with prospective clients in both the acute care and senior services markets. Scott’s strong leadership skills and extensive experience at all levels of the Sodexho organization made him an ideal choice to lead operations in this key area. "I am fortunate to have a strong, experienced operations team in the greater Chicago area that will enable us to meet the needs and expectations of current and future clients", Scott said. "Sodexho Health Care Services is focused on operational excellence, open and frank communication with our clients through our Clients for Life® program and finding the best, most practical solutions to their changing needs. As a division, we are dedicated to working with our clients to enhance the Patient Experience in each of the hospitals we serve. Our corporate mission is to improve the quality of daily life, and we do so by supporting a hospital’s focus on the healing process, through service delivery designed to be compassionate, respectful and enthusiastic."
