MED3OOO Names Paul A. McLeod, M.D., to Board of Directors
MED3OOO Group, Inc. (MED3OOO) has elected Paul A. McLeod, M.D., to serve as a member of the corporate board. Dr. McLeod has served as Chief Medical Executive for MED3OOO since 2000 and has been instrumental in guiding the clinical focus for the organization. Dr. McLeod has played a significant role in the development of MED3OOO IQ™, the company’s proprietary data warehouse and reporting tool for improving the cost and quality of health services delivered by physicians. In 1997, Dr. McLeod assembled MED3OOO’s National Care Management Advisory Group, which brings together some of the country’s top practicing physician leaders to discuss key issues affecting the industry and to develop clinical protocols for MED3OOO IQ™ data warehouse reporting. Dr. McLeod also holds the post of Dean of the Florida State University College of Medicine, Pensacola Regional Campus. Prior to joining MED3OOO, Dr. McLeod functioned as the Medical Director for his Family Practice group in Florida and as MED3OOO Southeast Region’s MSO Medical Director. He also previously served as Assistant Clinical Professor in Family Practice at the University of South Alabama in Mobile. Dr. McLeod holds a B.S. from Florida State University and an M.D. from the University of Alabama, Birmingham. He completed his family practice residency at the U.S. Naval Hospital in Pensacola, Florida.

RIC Announces Santiago D. Toledo, M.D. as New Chief of Medical Staff
The Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago (RIC) announces Santiago D. Toledo, M.D., as the new Chief of Staff. Currently, Dr. Toledo also serves as the Medical Director for Orthopedic Rehabilitation at RIC and specializes in the aging population and primary care for people with disabilities. He earned his medical degree from the State University of the Philippines, Manila, completed a Graduate Program in Internal Medicine at the Philippine General Hospital. In 1992, Toledo came to the University of California-Los Angeles as a geriatric medicine and gerontology fellow and then practiced internal medicine at the VA Hospital in West Los Angeles. In 1996, Toledo took a position at Temple University Hospital and Moss Rehabilitation in Philadelphia practicing physical medicine and rehabilitation.

Rainbow Hospice Names Bloom as Medical Director
Patricia Bloom, M.D., is now serving as Medical Director for Rainbow Hospice, appointed by Pat Ahern, the non-profit organization’s President/Executive Director. Dr. Bloom, who is Board Certified by the American Board of Family Physicians and holds a Certificate of Added Qualifications in Geriatrics, previously served as Associate Medical Director at Rainbow Hospice and Director of Geriatric Education at Resurrection Family Practice Residency, Resurrection Medical Center, in Chicago. She had also held Assistant and Associate Professor positions in Amarillo, TX; Johnson City, TN, and Huntsville, AL. Dr. Bloom earned her undergraduate and doctor of medicine degrees from the University of Iowa. She succeeds Richard J. Wolfe, M.D., who is taking over Dr. Bloom’s former position as Director of Geriatric Education for the Family Medicine Residency at Resurrection. Wolfe will continue his association with Rainbow Hospice, working part-time as a team physician. Also continuing his affiliation with Rainbow Hospice is Nicholas Parise, D.O., who is now Director of the Internal Medicine Residency at Swedish Covenant Hospital. Dr. Parise had served as Assistant Medical Director at Rainbow Hospice.
