Adventist Midwest Health Promotes Palmer to Vice President/CEO

Ernie Sadau, CEO/President of Adventist Midwest Health, announced the appointment of Isaac Palmer as the Vice President/CEO for Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital. Palmer has been a part of Adventist Midwest Health for five years, and for the past four years he has been the Executive Director of Adventist Bolingbrook Medical Center.

Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital recently received approval by the Illinois Health Facilities Planning Board. Officials hope to break ground on a $152 million hospital in Bolingbrook early in 2005. The facility will be built on the site of the existing Adventist Bolingbrook Medical Center, and is expected to open in 2007. Adventist Bolingbrook Medical Center will remain open during the construction of the state-of-the-art, 138-bed hospital, which will serve the communities of Bolingbrook, Lemont, Plainfield, Romeoville, Woodridge and other surrounding areas. The hospital plans call for an application to be submitted to become a Level II Trauma Center, allowing paramedics to more quickly deliver patients to a hospital-based emergency room.

Palmer received his Master of Business Administration degree from Rollins College Crummer School of Business. He is also a Diplomate in the American College of Healthcare Executives.
