GlenOaks Hospital Names Mary Murphy, CNO
Brinsley Lewis, Chief Executive Officer of GlenOaks Hospital announced Mary Murphy, R.N., MSN, has been named Chief Nursing Officer for the Glendale Heights hospital. Murphy joined the staff at GlenOaks in August 2001, as Director Emergency Services. Before coming to GlenOaks Hospital, Murphy was Director Emergency Services at Michael Reese Hospital, Chicago, and previously worked in various nursing positions at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood; Cook County Hospital, Chicago; and Walther Memorial Hospital, Chicago. Murphy received her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Nursing from Loyola University, Chicago. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau, American Association of Critical Care Nurses, and National Flight Nurses Association.

Mickey Kesselman Named Executive Director of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society
Mickey Kesselman has been named Executive Director of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Illinois Chapter. The role Kesselman plays in his new post has special meaning to him and his family. His daughter, Rebecca, 18, succumbed to a brain tumor while the family was living in San Diego in the late 1980s. Although undergoing extensive treatment, Rebecca started a support group for teens and young adults with cancer, and upon her passing, Kesselman founded a non-profit foundation for these young people. Kesselman assumes his position after serving five years as the Regional Director of the Jewish National Fund. Prior to that period, he was a private consultant specializing in strategic planning and turnaround opportunities for non profit and for profit groups. Kesselman's varied career included a position as senior partner in the Chicago law firm of Epstein & Kesselman, where he served as the lead attorney for plaintiff Vietnam veterans in the celebrated Agent Orange case.

Tracy Rogers is Named CEO of Weiss Memorial Hospital
Tracy Rogers was named Chief Executive Officer at Weiss Memorial Hospital (Weiss). Rogers’ predecessor, Steve Patz, is now serving as an interim CEO for Vanguard, the health system that owns and operates Weiss. Rogers has more than 17 years of experience in the healthcare industry. Seven of those years she served as a CEO at four different hospitals owned by Columbia/HCA, including Lakeland Medical Center in New Orleans, LA and Columbia Suburban Hospital in Louisville, KY. Most recently, Rogers founded and served as president of The Tajer Group, a professional consulting practice located in San Luis Obispo, CA. Rogers received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Iowa and a master's degree in business administration from the University of South Dakota.
